Frankenstein’s Monster

Boris Karloff as The Monster in the 1931 movie ‘Frankenstein’

My year of painting digitally emboldened me to try actual paint for the first time in a long, long time and gouache looked to be the medium best suited to some quick experimentation.

Now I had used gouache before in College, it’s like fancy poster paint. But we used it in technical ruling pens or to do complicated colour charts. So imagine my surprise - some 35 years later - to discover how much more versatile it is.
